Description

Thin double cracks, to hanging flake, to hands. Flake is slightly hollow, be careful if placing gear behind it. Easiest to finish at "Made Of Silk" anchors (to the right).

Location

Straight ahead from top of approach trail; ~10 feet left of "Made Of Silk". Look for "hanging tooth" feature at ~20 feet high.

Protection

Gear to 2". Has independent anchors (bolts w/ hangers only), or use chain anchors for "Made Of Silk".

I would have to second your comment and say this felt more like a harder 5.10. I kind of wonder if I made it harder, but this was DEF not 5.9! May 23, 2014

Toproped this yesterday and found it harder than 5.9. The Jackson guide rates it 10a which even seemed sandbagish. Granted I've never climbed this type of rock before today, so maybe that had something to do with it. For me the 2 distinct cruxes were getting established into the crack from the ground and the exit sequence. May 4, 2014
