Description

This fun route is situated directly to the left of Adam's crack and stays closer to the left side of the buttress and finishes at bolt anchors with steel biners.
Recently this route was bolted by a guy who does training with S&R. They bolted it so they could train on cliff rescue, or so I heard.

Was here on 8/8/2014 to find this route is completely bolted. Although I would highly suggest using alpine draws and extending them, since the rope drag is quite high. It's a good route to practice that I suppose? There's a drop-in anchor to the climber's left that you can use to set-up a TR for White Lightning, or a seemingly brand new anchor on climber's right to stay on the buttress[probably done at the same time as the bolts]. No need to traverse all the way to the tatted up tree. Does give you the option at the top to traverse safely all the way climbers left to the Snake Buttress / Happy Crack anchor if you want to set up that TR as well. Aug 11, 2014

I had heard that the left cheek route had gotten bolted. As far as I know, the first ascentionist, Adam Winslow, was not contacted as is tradition and common practice. Some folks got miffed by the bolts. I was there recently and it looks like the hangers were removed. At least they were on the first bolt, didn't see a 2nd. The bolts look to be somewhat in between Adams crack and the Left Cheek, and thus a new route, but I'd want someone else to confirm that who knows what they are talking about. Feb 10, 2015

Cool, easy route on good rock.

Definitely bolted and we used 2 alpine draws to deal with the angles.

Good ledge for the anchor with pretty new biners. Aug 3, 2015

Route has been bolted by someone, however, I heard that it was with permission. The bolted line is at most graded 5.5 IMO. Good for beginning leaders or kids. Aug 14, 2015
