Yosemite National Park has yearly closures for Peregrine Falcon Protection March 1- July 15. Always check the NPS website at nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/… for the most current details and park alerts, and to learn more about the peregrine falcon, and how closures help it survive. This page also shares closures and warnings due to current fires, smoke, etc.
Description
Wicked Gravity might be the best sport route in the Valley. The rock is aesthetic and its location is very exposed and high off the deck. The climbing is smooth and varied. Big brown cobble stones allow for cool movement. Youll find slopers, jugs, crimps, gastones, heelhooks and drop knees. This route has it all. Try it! Youll have fun
Location
This route is located on the Killer Pillar of Elephant rock. Drive up the 41 and park at the dirt parking lot about a quarter mile past the Rostrum parking area. Fallow the obviouse trail down to top of Elephant rock. The Killer Pillar is the somewhat detached summit with multiple bolted anchors on top. Wicked Gravity is the middle route just right of Fun Terminal, the obvious arête.
