CLOSED: Forestry Closure Update - FULL WEST SIDE CLOSURE begins 12/11.
The west side of the park will be completely closed for forest health mitigation until further notice (~mid-2024, weather-dependent). The west trailhead parking lot will remain open for access to the south. Trails impacted by closure: Mountain Muhly Trail, Bearberry Trail, Homestead Trail, Silver Fox Trail, Ponderosa Trail, and the majority of Sisters Trail. 2023 ALD Forestry - a map of the Second Segment Closure (PDF) can be found through the link above.
The eastern side of the park and trailhead have reopened following completed forestry work in that area.
Description
This traverse goes with many variations that result in many different levels of difficulty. However, the standard traverse starts sitting in a left-facing corner, just left of "Scoundrel" and right of "Spotless," on ok crimps.
Get your body on the wall and traverse left, passing through the mid section of "Exposed In Darkness," and on ward to connect and finish with "Double Socket."
A technical, pumpy and powerful line!!! It's more like a 5.13+ route than a boulder problem. I am not sure that this line has even be completed to date.
Location
This is located on The Subterranean Wall. The left to right low traverse ending with the link up of "Double Socket."
