Raptor Closures 2017: Check status and details at: nps.gov/arch/planyourvisit/… -Read about Anchor Replacement and Restrictions mountainproject.com/v/utah/… in Arches National Park Details
RAIN, WET ROCK and RAPTOR CLOSURES: The sandstone around Moab is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. Also please ask and be aware of Raptor Closures in areas such as CAT WALL and RESERVOIR WALL in Indian Creek Details

Description

This is the left facing dihedral on the right side of the wall. There aren't alot of short, quick climbs in Arches;...this is one of them. It's fun; c'mon;...go do it.

Location

1.8 miles up the winding road from the Arche's Visitor's Center.

Protection

1 through 4 cams. Stoppers. Just eye-ball the thing, and take the gear ya think you'll need;...it's a crack.

Rack: 1-2 sets of finger-sized cams, triples from .5-3, single #4. It's kind of a long pitch, and it's Entrada.

I belayed from above off boulders and bushes to the right of the route, then we strolled over to the 3-piton anchor to the left to rappel. Bring webbing or chain. Single 70m was plenty for the rap.

Very good...for Arches. Feb 11, 2016

Pretty sandy, especially the start, but very fun. Sustained and varied moves. Nov 22, 2012
