Description

Classic layback route with added handholds on the face for added security. Must avoid the promiscuous tree along the way. Crux is moving onto the flake edge from below.

Location

Climb the obvious left-facing flake on the right end of the Breakfast Wall. 3rd-4th class scramble to the left to reach the top of the cliff. Gear-only anchor.

Protection

G-PG protection; G if you have larger gear (#4 cam), PG otherwise.

Used my #4 cam, the tree gets in your way at one point. Jun 17, 2015
I climbed this last fall. If your a pansy like me you can use a #4 C4 to protect the top part of the flake and a #5 over your head once you are standing on the flake. This makes pulling the step-around-the-tree move much less intimidating. Mar 11, 2016
