Access Issue: Seasonal Route Closure Details

Description

This one is not bad, until the crux move escaping the roof; the only holds are questionable, and don't feel secure. *shrug* It's what you've got. Kind of a one- or two-move wonder, this route.

Location

Start under highest roof on wall. Climb up to right-facing flake under roof, escape left, go to top.

Protection

Adequate, but make sure your belayer is attentive.

The above photo is not of Cheese Grits. Purple camalot under the roof and maybe a yellow Alien just above it protect the crux well. Holds are actually great - you just have to look for them ;) Jul 19, 2010

Enjoyed this climb. Escaping the roof will get your attention. The "good" hand hold was just out of reach for me so it was a committing move to make the lunge for it. Protected the crux with two pieces of gear. Jun 17, 2015
