Access Issue: 2019 Santa Fe National Forest Temporary Closure Order Details
The Santa Fe National Forest has issued a temporary closure order for East Fork Trail 137ladailypost.com/content/san… that affects the west end of the "Las Conchas Trail" (Trail 137). The order is in effect until the end of 2019. From the verbiage in the order, it does not sound like this closure affects any of the documented Las Conchas climbing areas. It does affect access to the seldom-visited "Lower East Fork" in the "box" area of the river. Here's an unofficial map I created based on my interpretation of the closure order: caltopo.com/m/D00M
Fun sport route up one of the longer routes on Cattle Call Wall. Typical of most climbs at Las Conchas the crux is at the bottom as most walls are undercut and finding good feet is difficult. Getting past initial bulge is crux.
Listed as route #3 on route topo photo for Las Conchas Cattle Call Wall.
