A golden eagle lands at the nest on the 4th pitch of Young and Rackless while investigating this and other potential nest sites prior to egg laying (see comment below).

Please be aware that this route is closed on Feb. 1 annually for an eagle nest.

Rapping to the right of the route (climber's right) will get you down in two raps with one 60m rope.

Pitches 1 and 2....

This is a photo of the 2nd rap station that works for a 60m rope. Trend right as you rap down from the anchors at the top of P4, and you'll find this station. From here, a 60 meter rope with knots tied at the end will just tickle the ground.

A good view of most of the first, all of the second, and a lot of the third pitch from the base. The fourth is out of view.
