Approaching the 3rd bolt and the crux. The sling from the Crack'n Up can be seen hanging above the gear at the bottom of the photo. We used two ropes (actually, the tail of the one rope) to protect the first move so that in case the Crack'n Up didn't hold (but it would) Luke wouldn't hit the starting block.

The anchor at the top of the pitch.
One of the more technical climbs at Combat, but a fav of mine. Remember now use that loose flake it puts a little hair on the choconas.
After the crux and clipping the 4th bolt, Luke is looking left towards the anchors.
Starting the crux moves at the 3rd bolt. The scar from the now missing flake is visible above Luke's right knee.
