My partner and I got really off route between the 4th and 5th pitch. Extremely scary and chossy. Avoid this mistake and do not follow the crack after 4th belay. Get off crack, and go left fairly soon after leaving grassy belay ledge on to easy, run out face climbing!

Seems like everyone does the top half slightly differently. Here's what we did, which ties in with Charles Vernon's route description. On pitch 6 we did a rising rightwards traverse past a loose block and a piton, then continued traversing to a comfortable belay at the base of a right-facing corner.

The view from the top can't be beat!

The good

Pitch 5 heads up the left side of the Nose, climbing mostly face.

5th pitch of Culp-Bossier. Seems to be a mystery, everyone we asked couldn't describe it. From the big ledge, we went towards the white and organge roof and belayed in left-facing corner near an orange spot for the top of the 4th. The 5th pitch ran up and right to another left-facing corner and up groove/crack to right side of the big roof. Good gear and moderate moves. Note red line.

Starting up pitch 2. Head through the notch in the upper left. This is a good landmark that you can see from the ground.

A piton at the belay at the top of pitch 6. I went pretty far right after the dihedral and belayed sitting on top of a large block below a ramp. This was a comfortable belay and a natural belay for the next pitch.

Moving right from the start of P7 instead of the direct face climbing above. A right-facing corner follows the ramp, ending just in time to step left and work your way up to the crux.

Nice exposure on a perfect summer day.
