Showing start as described in Secor's guide (yellow).

Parker tackles the final step before the summit. NOTE: It's not rotated - sure it's a strange angle, but rotation has nothing to do with it. Check my shadow bottom left.The photo is as I took it.

Looking down from about halfway. The East Face goes to the right (climber's left) of the buttress below. The reddish band variation comes up the other side of the buttress.

The Red Rock Alternative start, follow that band of white rock up which will take you to the main chute. Rock on the right side of chute is most secure.

Reflection of Middle Palisade on Finger Lake, flipped vertically with topo of Red Rock Variation. Green dots roughly follow the easiest/correct line, red dots have more sustained 3rd/4th class climbing on "less-than-perfect" rock (ask me how I know...).

May 29, 2015. A bit out of shape after a month of mostly unstable weather. I meet a group that same day who were heading in to do the standard route. I wonder how that went?
