Look for the mossy boulder to the left and the flat rock that looks like a good seat to the right. This is where you peel off left up the steep hill for the climber's trail.

A beautiful third edition of A Climber's Guide to Tahquitz Rock found in the SD library.

This is the first page of the Original 1943 Guide to Climbs at Tahquitz. This "guide book" consisted of 9 mimeographed pages describing 16 routes. A rare complete edition of this guide will soon be showing at the Idyllwild Historical Society Museum.
