I should have figured that you had been over there exploring, if anyone had. Well, I just want to publically say that appreciated all the work you put into the park and this site last summer and this spring when it felt like I was the only one going out there regularly and this was my only guide! True story: when we were looking for houses in Madison I pulled up the Gov Dodge pages (having never been there-- it was winter) and made the decision to move to the west side based on proximity to this park (tho it was easier since my wife agreed for other reasons). Thanks. Sep 17, 2008
Yeah, this is all on private property. There is a private camp over there and the rock is all on their property. I helped out over there for a day a few years back with a friend of the owners. A couple of nice boulders and we played around on them for a bit before we had to work. It was fun but, for the life of me, i can't remember if there was a any real potential. Definitely off limits though. The owner is a really nice guy but doesn't want people climbing on the property. Sep 17, 2008

Hey Chris,

I am just psyched you guys are finding stuff, and having fun in the park. My first visits there were as a kid fishing with my dad and the family, long before I ever started climbing. I was lucky to have a father that would take us out into the outdoors and show us how to appreciate it. Even if it was just a state park now and again.

G Dodge was always a work in progress, and while the rock is by far not the best in the state, it has it's moments. And when it is good, it is good, and that's what counts. JJ Sep 17, 2008
