I'd love to see proof of a fatal Labrador attack in the last 1000 years. The lady lost a leg but I would almost guarantee she was taken down by the head or neck and has injuries to prove it. |

M Mwrote: Five people were killed in attacks involving Labradors across 2016 and 2017 in the U.S., according to research by dogsbite.org which seems like a reputable source. That site calls out pit bulls a lot, and seems to have mostly factual data. |

Animal shelters like to call Pitbulls lab mixes to emotionally disarm people with a savior complex. The SCOTUS ruled that a person of average intelligence could visually identify a pitbull, so just remember, if you look at a dog and can't tell if it has any pitbull in its blood, Ruth Badger Ginsburg thinks you're a retard. |

I have tears in my eyes, but can picture like step one) roll up to the crag, helmet on, 50L internal frame, tidy mtnerrs coil. step two) tell the dog it would be pretty if it's collar wasn't so clunky step three) eat the dogs food |

M Mwrote: Don't forget that dogs have millions of years of evolutionary instinct behind the traits that humans selectively bred for prominence much more recently. So for example if you have 4 dogs roaming together the pack hunting instinct can take over and overrule any differences between breeds. Plus you can have a dog bred for DOG fighting (again not bred to go after people) and 25 generations go by as a family pet the resultant dog could be way different than it's lineage. If the dog breeds original purpose is the main thing you think makes a dog dangerous then Rottweilers and Mastiffs breeds are more dangerous because they were bred to defend against people not dogs. |
