Training Beta Route climbing training program

I signed up for the 7 days trial, and so far it seems pretty nice in that I don’t have to keep track of what I am doing and planning and such. One thing is, it seems to require slightly less climbing at the gym than I am used to since I was already training on my own. Is that going to decrease and not increase my performance?  Another question is, if I don’t finish everything from the week due to work schedule or sickness or climbing outside, do you think I should finish the exercises from week before proceeding to the next week?  That would increase the length of time I am spending on specific training like instead of spending 6 weeks on power endurance, it may be 6 weeks + change. Lastly, anyone had this program for more than a year?  Does it pretty much repeat the same stuff every year or is there enough variation it is worth keeping beyond a year?

Thanks

I'd direct these questions to Training Beta.   They wrote the plan after all.  :)  Joking aside, those of us reading your post lack adequate information to make a determination.  For example, we don't know the plan particulars, including training volume, intensity, and methods.  Nor do we know your climbing training history and skill level.  Your diet and other personal factors are also unknown.  Without all this data, one cannot make an informed opinion.

I emailed them. I was hoping to avoid asking the last question directly because it seems kind of rude to ask if there is a point in keeping their program beyond a year, but I guess that is more direct than asking here. Thanks.

Is this year-long plan? That seems longer than other plans I have seen in the past.

I'm not familiar with the particulars of the Training Beta plans, but I have done both Lattice and Power Company training plans, and have seen plans from those companies directed at people climbing at different levels.

Both of those plans were 12 weeks long. If you continue with the training plan after the end, it will be likely some sort of rest/deload period, followed by the same 12 week cycle as before (or however-long your cycle is).

There is nothing magical that is going to happen in your next cycle, regardless of how long it is. it's not like you are going to "unlock the next level training exercise" that is only available to people who had done the first cycle. There are only so many things you can do to train for climbing, and the exercises you are assigned to do (usually) already describe the difficulty progression you can do, if the exercise/drill is too easy. You do the same thing, but maybe at a higher level. You increase weight as able, you switch to one-arm version of something, or switch to smaller holds, or switch to longer moves, you do your pyramid/intervals on higher-difficulty problems, etc.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
