Feel free to point me in the right direction if this info is already out there.

Can anyone that has the older and new TC pro comment on fit and sizing? Just trying to determine if I can order my usual size, or if I should find a way to try some on.

Also, does the new pattern stop the rand peeling issue?

I downsized half size for new model. 10.5 street- 10 rock shoe. haven’t worn long enough (little over a month)to notice a rand difference. however My inside edge has worn much faster than last gen TC pro edge. Nothing has changed about my rate of climbing, so i am wondering if bad batch of rubber? Another thing to note, the shoelace guard pinches foot if shoes are tightened in toe box. bad design. does anyone else notice this in their TC Pros.

I sized mine for a performance fit, which in me is a 40.5. They're tight and perfectly comfy.

I needed to go a half size down to get the same fit as 1st gen.

Good 2 know but how does that answer the question.

My new size 46 TC's are 1/4" bigger than my old ones of the same size. I have not had them long enough to show any unusual wear and I haven't been able to feel that green shoelace guard on my feet.

My buddy bought some new TCs and I was surprised they didn't make my feet cry. They changed the shape of the shoe so it wasn't insanely painful. Thing is, I usually wear a size 10 Grandstone and TC size was 8.5 WTF

Now the question is how do you tell if someone is selling the old torture devices of the damned or the new comfy style.

The old style is "Sage" and the new style is "Olive".

Explain the difference so a man can understand

Read the shoe color either in the specifications or size/color picker.

So there's no way to tell in person?

I've used the first generation for quite a few years. I recently purchased the Olive new model. They are both the same size fit for me.

Can't comment on the rand .

I went down a half size from my street shoes. Great shoes but they do take some time to break in.

I also went down a half size from my old TC Pro size to get the same fit length-wise. As far as width, I feel the newer TC Pro is slightly narrower throughout most of the shoe.

Haven't worn the new TC Pro enough to tell if the delamination issue is resolved or not, hopefully it is since every pair of old TCs suffered from delam.

Approach shoe 44.5. Comfort/all-day TC Pro Sage 43.5 (OLD), Olive 43 (NEW).

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
