Resling experiences

Third party or OEM reslinging service experiences. I've heard BD and Metolious do a great job with their cams. I've found a few services online but I like anecdotes. I got some used Wild Countrys that need reslinging so also give me opinions on nylon vs dyneema when I send them in. Leaning towards a dyneema double loop at the moment, but I dont trad. Just TR anchor build. |

If you are just using them for TR you can save some cash and just use nylon webbing and tie your own slings using an overhand follow through. Make sure the tails are long and check the knots before use. Tying your own slings was what we all did before cams cam with slings and it worked perfectly fine. |

I used Runout Customs in 2019 to resling almost my whole rack. Was very quick, relatively cheap, and slings look great. They're a bit longer than the original BD C4 slings, but not a huge issue. Came upon this page looking for more info as well, as Runout is saying a 4 cam minimum for mail in work. I need 2 more done once the season ends. Considering Mountain Tools or just sending them back to BD. Anyone know if BD redoes them if they'll sew a tag with the year on them again? That would be convenient to keep track of what got done when. |

I get my cams reslung by Mountain Tools. They're fast and do a good job. |

Seconding Metolius (enough can’t be said about how great they are) and mountain tools. Excellent experiences with both. Cut your slings before you send them in to save a buck or two |

Runout Customs did an awesome job on my C4's and aliens. I need to send my rack of tech Friends to them to get reslung. Highly recommended! |

I've been using Mountain Tools for reslinging for almost thirty years. |

I keep seeing "Riesling experiences", and no, I don't even drink! H. |

Mountain Tools or Yates. Don't know if Yates still does it. |

I think the best way to keep track is just having a spreadsheet with the dates of reslings and when you expect you'll need to replace your soft goods. Regarding their service, it was super solid! They actually replaced my trigger wires as well while it was in at no additional charge. Definitely going to use them again for another other BD cams I need redone. Gonna be sending in several old Metolious cams in within the next week or two, so I can give an update on how those turn out later in the thread |

I come from a small town. With that being said I will always give my money to the smaller independent business. Runout customs |

Metolius is hands down the best outdoor company I have ever done business with. They take pride in their cams when you send them in and they are insanely cheap. Send your Metolius cams to them and no one else. Run-out did a great job and FAST on my BD cams. They don't use the fancy new BD sling with the black stripe but who cares. |
