"Generic" Tick

If I climbed a route that is at a crag not recorded on mountain project, but I want to record a tick at the grade for my pyramid, is there a way to tick an generic climb without choosing a real existing climb?

I'm not super into the generic area solution-- when you tick the same route many times it will display all your previous ticks of that route along with your recent one, so I've ticked 5.8 trad a bunch for example and rather than seeing those ticks individually as would make sense, they're all bunched up as ticks of the same route. 

It's an inelegant solution, but it has allowed me to now track my climbing in MP, which I wasn't really able to do before because of how many climbs around here that aren't on MP. 

Really wish they'd come up with a better solution. 

Btw, if you're still into easy trad you'd really like this area. Don't know if you'll ever be coming out this way again, but lots of fun stuff out here that's really good with no crowds!
