Is it possible to jumar faster than speed climbers?

If you could anchor the rope at the top and bottom, and had a smooth vertical wall, would it be possible to jumar faster than Olympic speed climbers?

Any type of ascender is allowed, even arborist foot ascenders.  What would your setup be?

On the regulation 15m wall? nope. On a longer distance? Probably with a ropewalker system depending upon when those speed mutants run out of gas.

I doubt speed climbers can climb a smooth vertical wall.. so probably!

A smooth vertical wall would have no holds so yes.

A good arborist on a fixed rope, vs a speed climber on route? Probably the speed climber, but?????

Hmmmmm..... I'd not risk my money. Too close to call. I've seen arborists racing!

Not even close.  Watch the World Cups.
As for outdoor, straight in repetitive (boring) Indian Creek style hand cracks.  I don’t even have to look down at my feet.

I'd rather clip my toenails than watch speed climbing. Arborist competitions are far more fun!

Do you have to look down at your feet in the gym or on non-boring cracks?

Gym routes are much more complex than Indian Creek style or straight in Granite,  so yes.
although you bring up a good point F. LeGrand (winningest lead comp climber of all time) was notorious for memorizing 4-5 foot moves & not looking down every move.

American cavers have a contest every year to see how fast they can ascend a rope. The current record for 30 meters is 24.6 seconds, established in 1992!
I bet a speed climber would handily beat the caver at 18 meters, but maybe more of a challenge at 30. The cavers also compete at 120 meters and I’m guessing they’d win that one.

Used to be a member of the NSS and those comps were wild lots of beer and 420 going on before them. I'm sure that a sober caver would crush the speed climbers but it's all about having fun

Find the video of Lynne Hill freeing the Nose in a day. Her belayer was Steve Sutton. He followed each pitch on jumars.

What it and your question will be answered.

Speed climbers do 15m in 6-7 seconds. Even with exhaustion doubling the second length time, speed climbers would do 30m in 21 seconds

but the important point is the speed climbers have the set wired so unless you stacked two speed routes on  to of eachother the cavers or rope access peeps would take the day with more and more authority the longer the length is

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
