I love my Arcteryx harness, it is super light and the material is hella comfy for all day tradventures. It sucks for rope soloing not having an additional belay loop so I'd love to add a belay loop but obviously Arcteryx wont do that (I asked/begged already).

I also asked Misty Mountain just in case (I dont like their harnesses but do like the double belay loop) but they wont do it either.

Metolius Safe Tech do a trad harness with two belay loops so that would be my last resort if I cant find a company/individual who can add additional belay loops to my current harness.

Y'all know anywhere this service exists?

i just took a piece of cord and made one.  i made it bigger than the belay loop (approx 2 or 3 times the diameter).  i use this loop for the microtrax that is connected to the chest harness, and my regular belay loop for the lower microtrax.  doing it this way keeps the two microtrax units from banging into each other.

Is your harness the AR-3XX from Dead Bird? Been looking at harnesses lately and that one looks hella sleek and has big gear loops but some people don't find it super comfortable.

For a belay loop, might reach out to RunOut Customs in Utah. They reslung my cams a few months ago so I know they can do bartack. Just don't know if they would be able to do it through something as thick as a belay loop/ if they have the correct material. But doesn't hurt to ask.

For TR solo making one is common as said by slim.
7mm cord tied in a loop with a double fisherman's is bomber and easily replaced if it gets ratty.

Appreciate that. I only TRS when cleaning a pitch and dont use a back up device (just use knots) as its just top roping so fall dynamics rarely come into play.

Keen to get additional belay loop sewn in as one loop is for lead device, the other is for back up cloves on a locker.

It is quite easy to make rings out of dyneema rope. They are crazy strong as well.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
