Curious, are there any good towers/pinnacles to climb in Joshua Tree? I've climbed headstone, but is there anything else thats good and free-standing like that?

Speaking of towers. Does anyone know the name of this cool feature near "The Blob" in Hidden Valley? Reminds me of two Easter Island Motus standing back to back.

It’s part of sidewinder rock in Steve’s canyon. Skinny dip gets you to the top.

Thanks Brian and Kevin.

Skinny Dip is one J-tree climb I'll never do. Way too claustrophobic for that.

Unfortunately, I found out the hard way.  I thought, geez, I'm about the same size as that John Long feller.  Didn't realize he was a thin teenager when he did it.  Too funny.  Yeah, I don't fit.

EBGBs isnt really a tower, but its a free standing boulder perched in a cool area that offers some fun position, andddddd its a really good climb

Yeah, for John it's definitely a "First and Only Ascent." No way he's getting through that.

Lots of cool towers in Josh. The Weenie and Red Obelisk are two in the So Wonderland near each other. Owl Pinnacle on top of Diarrhea Dome is cool.

Planet X Pinnacle and Love Nest are close together.

Pope's Hat, Rubicon Formation, the Wedge, Frigid Tower and the right end of Belle Rock are all pinnacles in the Pinto Basin area.

Lots more.

BTW, you can just do the 5.4 chimney and avoid the "skinny" part of Skinny Dip if you just want to tag the summit.

Randy's list is a good one. I'd suggest the Owl as he mentions. Here are a few more tower like summits to climb.
Podium
Star Wars Rock
Don Juan boulder
Don Genero boulder
Headstone Rock

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
