I have a black with some frayed wires near the lobes. Would that work?

Cool sounds good. Right now its really just 1 tiny wire thats frayed on the left side. It just rubs against itself and is hard to close. I did lube it up but didnt really help. Def know this isnt the ideal candidate but lmk if things change.

Deeba, if I'm seeing it correctly, that fray is on the loading wire. I'm only going to work on trigger wires, as these aren't load-bearing and not really critical to the unit's holding strength.  Keep an eye on the fray; if it gets worse at some point the cam may not hold its rated 6 kN. Only you can decide if it ever gets to the point of retiring it. (If you ever do, THEN I'd be interested in it, to take apart and see how they're made.)

I have a black totem in unusable shape with badly frayed trigger and loading wires. I’d be willing to send it to you at no cost other than shipping.

If you have an old figure 8 or VT prussik you don’t use, I’d love to do a trade.

Chouinard 8. Not much use, one scuff on the end where it got dropped.  I'm PM'ing you my address.

Love it - will email you back when I have a moment.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
