Kiss yer big flag goodbye - Yosemite

Yosemite for 99% of visitors is a once in a lifetime trip. I can't imagine going there to get some pictures and enjoy nature only to have some stupid flag in my pictures. This has nothing to do with the type of flag. Its the principle.

Anyone advocating for a flag of any type on the nose is a GIGANTIC hypocrite. We know that the people supporting this current action would be outraged if it was a "Come and Take it", "MAGA", or some other right leaning political flag.

I don't support any flag, of any kind on national parks. Get that BS out of here losers.

Could not agree more. I don’t want to see a maga flag up there, but if we allow one flag we have to allow them all.

No flags. Period.  Save your protest for somewhere else.  Glad the parks did this.

Of course the magatites are violating all kinds of American rules every single day, and just ignoring any outrage, now that they have stacked the Extreme Court with crooks who vote only their far right opinion, regardless of legality, ethics, or logic.  This includes pardons for anyone who tries to overturn the US government, and throwing out legal precedents that have stood for many decades.

For instance, the extreme court just ruled against any injunctions that would slow trump from doing a 180 on birthright citizenship.  1.  Since this policy is a long time precedent, the onus logically should be on Trump to legally prove a switch.  Instead the court ruled that trump can violate the precedent without any actual legal ruling to overturn the precedent.  2.  The judges injunctions were temporary and are a necessary part of the legal system to limit rash changes until the higher courts can review.  There is no basis for hurry.

Unfortunately, I think we're going to have to free America first.

I was and am in support of several of the flags hung, but as someone pointed out in this or a different thread, if we say it’s a 1st amendment right then we will have to expect demonstrations we find disagreeable.

I wonder if the prominent social media influencer who took part in this specific demonstration is going to financially support SJ’s basic living expenses and legal fees.

National Parks will be lucky if they survive in any recognizable form. You’ll probably all suck on your thumbs, banned from the exclusive Yosemite Resorts Corp property soon enough, complete with El Cap-sized ad banners selling whatever to people far richer than you’d be in 10,000 years at your crap jobs. Then you won’t have to look at those darn rainbow flags, only red white and blue shit rags.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
