I have some physical issues that are limiting my movements, more and more, every season. The hardest routes I'll be able to free are already in my past.

The only way I'll ever be able to climb some routes, classics or not, is *very slowly*, possibly with a terrific amount of aid, and a lot of breaks... Possibly hours on a single pitch.

Not everybody has as accommodating of an attitude as you... I catch a fair amount of shit when I happen to be in the way of the guy who walks up ~11am and doesn't feel like waiting another ~2hr for me to finish.

More power to you, brother!

I have more respect by far for those who struggle to get out anyway they can rather than those thinking they are entitled because of physical gifts or ability or merely youth.

This goes for all be they young, old or with physical or mental disability. The struggle is real for those with more challenges than others.

Climbing is about personal struggle, trying your best despite the obstacles to climb your "mountain". You get to decide which "mountain" it is.

Just preserve the resource for others is all we can ask. BITD old timers like Rohr (famously put in first rap route down The Nose just for rappelling) could be found nailing classics in the Valley long after the clean climbing revolution which was a bridge too far. Found him nailing Moby Dick Center one day in his 60's lol though, it was kinda nostalgic to hear the ring of hammer on iron and the bong-bong of hammering bongs. This was around 1987 or so.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
