thunder bay climbing
|
im looking for recommendations in the thunder bay area. classics, cool adventure routes, multis, whatever. just haven’t really been able to find a lot of stuff on MP that have developed pages. id prefer trad and under 5.11. so far i really only have the canine and spiral galaxy. any recommendations welcome! |

The Thunder Bay community doesn’t seem to put much on MP so I’d respect that and only build pages for your own FAs. Anyways, here’s the guidebook you want: |

dope. thanks man. |

Get the book like stated above! and yeah, not a lot of the Canadians add to MP. The link above is to a zone that myself and a few others developed. I am sure it doesn't see alot of action as it is a "far" drive from Tbay, but the routes are mostly very enjoyable, just might need a light cleaning... |

Look up the author, Aric. Super freakin nice guy. It’s possible that you can buy the book right from him. He’s on IG at outdoor_skills |

Thunder Bay is awesome.. There is a 2nd edition of the book which has alot of great additions (namely the Outbreak Wall.) you can buy it in town at Wilderness Supply. Most of the crags south of town are on First Nations and not really climbable without permission. Lost Falls however is ‘accessible’ with a great 3 pitch 5.9 (Myopic Adv) and bunch of great lines right of falls. great sport north of town at Pass Lake and Silver Harbor. Outbreak is the big new wall with sport and 2pitch trad. Quite a few others in the guidebook |
