Wet Shoes
|
I forgot my shoes the other day and wore my partners. Their shoes were wet (like with sweat). It was kinda gross. They said this was normal. I do not think most climbers put on shoes damp with sweat from the previous day when they start climbing. Is he the weirdo or am I? |

I have issues with my sweaty shoes after I climb pretty often but I almost always throw boot bananas in them when I'm done. Maybe suggest he get some to help with the th that? Helps with the th the oder too. Just a thought! I don't think it's necessarily weird that his shoes get wet and sweaty, but maybe it's a little odd that he just accepts it and wears them when they are still soaked? Idk https://bootbananas.com/# |

Possibly the weirdest bot question I’ve seen. |

You’re both weird |

I keep my shoes in a ziploc bag between sessions to lock the moisture in |

Wearing your partner’s damp, sweaty shoes definitely feels gross, and most climbers prefer dry shoes for comfort and hygiene. While your partner says it’s normal, many avoid climbing in wet shoes to prevent odor and discomfort. So, you’re not the weirdo—it’s understandable to want fresh, dry shoes when climbing for better performance and foot health. The pressure to stay active in discussion boards can be stressful.
