I want to build a spray wall in my basement but don't want to drop bands on climbing holds. Should I ask local gyms if they have old shitty holds they want to donate? Is there a place to find them? Thanks

Our gym sells them for a few bucks each. The answer is always no if you don’t ask.

rocks at the beach are free, abundant, unique and purer than plastic pulling.

How would you mount them??

If the local gym fails, check out synrockholds.com

The website looks outdated, but they are the cheapest holds you will find anywhere. They are amazing, way better than plastic in feel and friction.

The only downside is that they don't come in the same uniform colors as plastic holds. For a home wall, nobody cares. For my home woodie, I started buying plastic, but now I buy 75%+ synrock. If you want to know the best synrock sets to start filling out a home wall on the cheap (some are better than others), send me a message and I can tell you which sets are best.

For footholds, Atomik runs regular deals with $1 footholds in batches of ten, no choice of color or style. You could fill out your home wall pretty easily with synrock hands and $1 Atomik feet.
