I am going to be down in the Fayetteville, Arkansas area in the middle of March. Anyone have any climbing guide recommendations? Furthermore, what's the climbing scene like in AR and what's weather like in March.

Cheers!

Danny

For guides, check out https://arkansasrockclimbing.com/ Sam and Olivia are great people. The Arkansas climbing scene is relatively small, but is growing with the help of multiple new gyms around the state. NWA and Little Rock are getting better for climbers with the addition of new local crags in recent years, but you will have to drive 2 hours to get to the good stuff. Most of the climbers you will run into on any given weekend are traveling much longer from the surrounding states though, so I guess it could be worse. March is a pretty good month to climb as long as it doesn't rain too much. Vegetation is still gone and humidity is still relatively low, you just may have to avoid routes/crags that tend to seep or have river crossings after a rain.

Thank you Chase. I did speak with Sam and he's a very good dude, he even provided some route recon for me. Cheers!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
