"Redacted" non-redacted climbs
|
I noticed a lot of climbs now have "redacted" tooltips even though they aren't redacted. For example all at one crag: https://www.mountainproject.com/route/105735851/wet-dreams

MP definitely summited Mt. Idiocy on that whole route shaming thing. |

Hey Austin, yes, that's a work in progress. Those infotips are now showing on any names that have ever been flagged. I got ahead of myself a bit by asking for that change before updating the associated copy and landing page, sorry for the confusion. Bigger picture, this is in response to feedback asking for greater transparency around names on MP. The goal is to make it easier to learn more, understand the context around any changes, and see the original name if it's been removed or revised. As you can tell from the examples you posted, the range of names that get flagged by users is massive. Let me know if you have any questions, I'll see if I can get that improved soon. |

Thanks for confirming. That also explains why identically named routes at other crags don't have the tooltip. |
