NYC or Jersey - renting a car Mondays & Tuesdays peer-to-peer

This is a huge shot in the dark, but being trapped in the city w/o a car, and working on a service industry schedule is a real drag! Right now it's just not realistic for me to own my own for a variety of reasons, and Zipcar NYC is a nightmare, but maybe you and I, car-owning stranger, can find a convenient arrangement!

I work most weekends, but I'm off Mondays and Tuesdays, precisely the days most weekend warrior's chariots sit idle. I'd love to find a friendly person to form a short or long-term arraignment, whereby I might be able to make use of your vehicle for climbing purposes a few Mondays or Tuesdays a month. I'd of course pay you an agreed-upon rate for the use of the vehicle, bring it back clean and full of gas, park it where it won't get a ticket, and generally be courteous and conscientious. I absolutely understand that that's a scary and unknown risk with a stranger, so I'd be more than happy to jump through as many hoops as you'd like to become familiar. I'd even be happy to pay into and have my name on the insurance, if we were to come to a long-term agreement. I have a clean driving record, I'm a safe and cautious driver, and I'm experienced with winter conditions as well.

Replied to your PM - I've ridden motorcycles for ages, but never an H pattern, and I'd be too scared of wrecking yours in the process of figuring it out. Appreciate it though!
