I’ve also climbed Spearhead about ten times. I’ve climbed the nearby peaks and climbed ice and skied above Black Lake. So I’m familiar with the views. Besides having a lifelong interest in geography and geology, I’ve been around. I’ve also edited and fact-checked books and articles about peaks and routes that I haven’t done, and my day job was often tasked with finding those facts. I’d like to add that I’ve recognized a lot of mountains and routes that someone else beat me to. Half of this game is timing. Btw I don’t look at tick lists or photos on people’s MP pages. I do pay attention to Forum photos and More Top Photos that look interesting. Name the mountain at center: |

Winner, winner, ptarmigan dinner for Norm! The next mountain up: It's Biblical. It's the home of devils. |

Winner, winner! You're up. |

Norm Larsonwrote: Missed opportunity for the alliterative Ptolemy the Ptarmigan, but Pete is pretty solid, too. |
