Durable gallon water containers for big wall..
|
Headed up next week and wonder what more durable containers folks are using to haul water up? Thanks all, Max |

I like buying 2L bottles of cheap soda, like peach and strawberry and ginger ale, for wall water. Soda is cheaper than water--just dump out the soda and refill. Girth a loop of skinny cord around the neck for tie ins. They stack well in the bag. If one gets a hole you only lose 2L instead of 4L. The cap retains the smell of the soda forever--it's a great scent up on the wall when you take a pull! The bottles will smash flat and be ready for use again over and over and over. Keep soda in some of em. One a day for a treat is great calories. Hot soda and cold food. Not quite as good as hot beer and cold food. |

We also use 2l bottles, but you can buy 2l bottles of carbonated plain water. It's perfect. The plastic for carbonated water/drinks is much thicker. We'd release most of the carbonation at home after purchasing so the water was pretty much entirely flat Also, you can add Gatorade powder or the like to the carbonated water and it is fantastic on the wall. We called it sparkle-ade and it was always a hit. Obviously, only do that with a portion as you want plain water for cooking. |

Also, if your poop container is full, you can cut open the 2l bottles, stuff the used wag bag inside and then tape the bottle up again. Great emergency poop holders |

Don't worry McKinley has been practicing their jugging technique as well as figuring out the ledges descent. |
