News and Petition vs. NPS/NFS Fixed Anchor Ban Proposals!!!
|
|
it seems that the proposed fixed anchor bans by the nps and nfs have reached the halls of our (unfortunately not CA) legislators. if you find fixed anchors to be of value in your climbing endeavors please sign the petition in the provided link below: https://www.accessfund.org/latest-news/a-major-breakthrough-for-americas-climbing-legacy |

To clarify this would impact all of US and not just CA. We should all sign. |

Wow, I didn't know that likes of Mike Lee and Joe Manchin had the capacity to do 'the right thing'. Signed. Thanks Joe and Mike! |

I've put in a request to make this post a sticky so it remains at the top of the forum for a few weeks. Obviously, everyone should sign! |

Signed and sent a message to my representative Senator Patty Kuderer. I urge everyone to do the same. |

It won’t let me sign it without not clicking the “sign me up for emails” link so, no thanks! |

Not sure what's wrong, but I can't sign the petition at all, even after signing up for the emails. |

Try opening the link in an Incognito tab in your browser. I’d guess a plugin installed on your browser is causing issues… perhaps an ad blocker plugin? |

To the OP: California is not the origin of the solution so far as I can tell: |

j mowrote: ...and what exactly makes you think that i said so? i lamented the fact that CA is NOT part of the solution... "(unfortunately not CA)" put it in bold for you ;-) |

Signed, great idea to promote this! |

Signed. Had also called my congresswoman prior to this to ask for her support. That helps too. |

Most petitions are useless. This one could actually be useful if there was an option to include an epic climbing photo alongside your signature. Maybe it’s time to show some soul for a change, instead of mindlessly following every bureaucratic scripture. |
