Great deals on bolts, hangers, and other hardware

^agree with what you are saying about the price difference being small but that is comparing 304 to 316 stainless.  The 316 hangers in the US are almost the same cost as the wedge bolt with the hanger outside the US was my overall point

Looks like a great deal on 1/2" x 5.5" 316 bolts and hangers--$200 for (edit) 45 sets:

Update: Just bought some 3/8" bolts from this guy, and they arrived as described.

Fixe.  All the way.  Not only is it a straight forward wambamthankyoumaam one stop shop nearly anything you need, their prices are great, you're supporting dirtbags living in Bishop and keeping money out of the hands of the giants.

I just bought a bunch of bolts from them for a new route on Tehipite and got all the goods within a week of ordering.

You know their name, now just keep them in business.  They're one of the good ones.

What’s this new route on Tehipite looking like?

US Army surplus pitons on EBAY. $50 for a lot of 100.

Auction number: 8465-240-2971

Looks like there were 20 boxes of 100 left.

Confirmed, incredible deal on some iron for all you wall rats.

Just ordered a box. Hopefully they don’t just send a single piton. Worth noting the seller doesn’t accept returns but is backed by eBay’s money back policy. Also from the photos they all look to be lost arrow style pitons of the same size. Thanks Bobby!

I’m not sure if these are soft steel or chromoly. Many of the military pins I have anquired over the years are soft steel. But the later ones seem to all be chromoly. These are 1974, so I’m guessing chromoly, but not sure. The soft steel ones are worthless.

James is selling Bonier hangers here. $2.50 a pop is a great deal for Pingos. Just received mine today. He also has SimPles and Duplas.

Mine hits tomorrow. I'll let ya know if they are indeed hardened and will post up some pics.
They should be from all the research I did into army issue pitons.

Nice job!  I’d love to make the trek someday to do one of the mixed free/aid routes (although the 20 mile approach with full big wall kit sounds daunting).
Putting up a FA must have been a rewarding experience.  It’s pretty incredible to have such high quality granite walls tucked away in the back country.  Especially considering that some are comparable to El Capitan in height (or in this one’s case, even taller).

They arrived. Little rusty (surface), and sure smell like they've been sitting on a shelf for 50 years.
I'm no metallurgist, but with the file test, and beating the shit out of one into some wood, it indeed would appear these are hardened.

Looks good!  Do you want to sell a few?

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
