Who cares about the climb itself (I guess you do)!  If I can just get to the base I'd be happy (with all the gear).   Been there for that twice, with less gear, talking about Tis-sa-ack here.  The other climbs, failed one time with a wannabe guru given over to Zen meditation and his love for bears, one guy who relived his days in Vietnam when the chipmunk fell off the the thing, had to lower him off 4 pitches, another guy that thought he was an eskimo, who refused to bring the warmer sleeping bag I begged him to bring, another guy who changed his mind but could not figure it out by the time he got back down and wanted to do it again, another person who called for a rescue 300 feet from the road, and then one more lately who almost got buried in an avalanche.   

There was one success to the summit though, but not without the first ledge getting chipped out by football sized rock. Sweet dreams that night stuffing myself behind the flake.

I need to find someone I can somehow bribe into doing it in exchange for something else.

Well, if that's how you really feel, why don't you help me carry all my gear up to the base of El Cap next spring? Not only will you feel happy, but it's closer to the road!  ;)

Wait so have you successfully climbed tis-sa-ack before? Or is this a different route

Not sure Charles wants another round on Tis-sa-ack—it’s not at the top of his list right now. So, is there anyone out there in the free world who would like to do this route? I’ve heard rumors of rockfall on the face last year I think—any recent info? I’m feeling great lately—been loading up on raw powdered goat milk, bison, and Vitamin D and organic eggs. cod liver oil. Honestly, I think I may have stumbled on the fountain of youth, and I’d love to put it to the test on this wall.  If not, I would be open to anything to the right of this.

No, I only did the route up the arching chimney, it was pretty easy.  

Hey Don,

Charles says hi from the Heart Route. He cleaned the A5 Traverse for me today. 

Reading through this, and with this as my first MP post, I can’t decide if Don is a real person, or a fantastically dedicated troll who has just enough reality in his posits to keep people reading. 

Anyway, ya’ll are legends, and I’m sure you’ll have fun laughing as I make my way up south face next year. Cheers.

Don is indeed a real person with what most consider a slightly odd personality, with a healthy dose of religious fanaticism. He was a bit of a controversial figure in the 80's in the Gunks. His posts are actually his reality. He's not trolling.
