i hate the BD Z4 #0.2 so much

Anyone know when BD’s gonna rip off the totem design in the micro sizes? 

I don’t do bd when they lose the double axel. Metolius for me in those sizes

IMO, when the cams get that small, it pays to have multiple different brands.

I find that the Metolius ULMCs complement the Z4s very well.

I thought of the size issue after I posted.  So the OP should be lobbying for Totem to make smaller sizes.  BTW A black totem fully retracted is only 0.06 inches (1.3 mm) larger that a .2 z4.  They are really pretty close in size.   Of course Totem does not offer anything in the 0 and 0.1 z4 range. 

The 0.2 Z4 is fine IMO. Its trigger action is slightly mushy compared to the larger sizes, but it does its job and is super lightweight.

I use Blue and Black aliens for this size. Most of the time in that size I place a nut anyway.

Between small nuts, RP’s, ballnuts, and just being a little more creative with my gear placements, I rarely place cams smaller than a .3. 

Black fixe alien x is the snappiest cam in this size I’ve found

Funny that everyone says gold/yellow, but the blue dragonfly is actually the closest match to a black totem.

fwiw, I have abused the smaller dragonflys and they seem to hold up much better than I expected. Not cheap at retail but a used deal can typically be found without much trouble.

The dragonfly offsets are far superior to the Z4 counterparts, imo, especially in the smaller sizes (obviously they don’t make the larger sizes but Z4’s are fine once you get the double axle ones)

I trust my 0.2 WC a ton more than my 0.2 Z4. The WC has caught whips, the Z4 has ripped on me

Ball nuts just are not a replacement for small cams

I also hate the single axle Z4. Alien Revolutions was my replacement. 

I definitely the smaller single axle z4s over aliens or the wild country zeros. Cleaning and placing floppy cams on hard routes is personally a lot bigger issue than a little bit of mushy trigger action. I’ve whipped repeatedly on both in the .1 and .2 size in sandstone and they hold as long as they are placed well. Dragonflies are a little better but the head width is significantly wider which matters a lot for micro cams

I really like the 0.2 Z4…..

I never liked my 0.2 X4. But I think the Z4 is great.

Same here.  I had some C3s and sold them as I liked the Z4 better than any other small cam I have tried.  

Any of you haters want to sell me your small z4s?
