Lee County Rec Center in the Red is $8, but it's not really a gym, is it?

There's a gym near me with $16 day pass. Scrapyard Climbing Collective. Anyone know a gym that's cheaper?

Apex rec center in Arvada is only $8! Also we got plenty of fun 5.12s and above using the natural holds only, and a few are open projects. Come check it out! (Check website for climbing hours )

That sounds cheap but talking about cheap gyms is not fun. Bitching about expansive gyms is way more fun. G1 in Colorado is 27 bucks for a day pass.

LEF in Lexington is thirty dollars for a day pass. Yeesh

Child’s play. Bay Area chains are minimum $30, probably $35

The Front in SLC is $35 day pass. Blew my mind… it went up relatively recently. 3.5 years ago was closer the $25, so I didn’t expect a jump when I visited this past winter. .

I agree it’s expensive but the reason for this is that G1 hasn’t been bought out by Movement/the Spot yet and they’re trying desperately to not be. Being an independent gym is expensive af.

Have you looked up the current day passes at the other Denver area gyms?

Hint: G1 is a buck cheaper than most.

Boston: CRG is $34, they've bumped memberships from like $90 to $125 over the last couple years. Gotta pay for all the new gyms somehow ... BBP Somerville is $35/$135, Rock Spot is $34/$99, MetroRock is $30/$115.

High Altitude Fitness Weekly Membership is $50, which is a steal if you are in town for a week to ski.

I think Chelsea Piers set the high water mark years ago at $55/day. But that included some amenities beyond the climbing wall IIRC.

After the memberships went up to a whopping 60$ a month, I was left with no option!

$50/day on their website.  But, in their defence it was also $50/day when I went there in ~2016 using a friend's guest pass.

Well worth the $27.  The route setting is amazing, and they always have new holds and features on the wall. Honestly, I wonder how they keep the price that low.  Just their annual budget for new holds has to be insane, never mind the money they must spend on setting.

Well, that sure is an opinion. Yes indeed.

I’ll say that G1 is a nice facility but would disagree that it is well worth $27That goes for all indoor climbing day passes. Call me cheap.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
