Wrangler ATG pants. You can get them at tractor supply. 45 bucks, they’re stretchy, they dry fast, they hold up for a season or two and can handle offwidths and awkwardwidths.
I used to buy the expensive mountain hardware, prana and arcteryx stuff. Even the north face stuff before everything they made turned to total crap. I’m not saying the wranglers are the same quality, but for most of the higher end outdoor stuff, they’re pretty close and at a fraction of the cost. Everything’s crap these days. Might as well pay less for it.

I've warn these as well. Might not be the exact model, but I was paying $22 at the local Walmart.

Ricky, you're a lot harder on pants than I am, but you know too some of the stuff I've gotten into. And I've warn these pants to do it.

It's the seat area that usually go first for me. I've sewn and Gear Aid WP+ the current pairs I have.

Not saying you'll get more time out of them, but for the price maybe they can work for you

I always liked Arborwear pants but it looks like they've really gone up in price. I used to get the tech pants, which I don't see, they only have the Tech Flex and they're 110 bucks. The regular Tech pant used to be half that, but that was a long time ago. https://arborwear.com/product/106044/

STP for Carhartt, almost always something useful in stock around $30, and Prana usually has a sale at some point where you can stock up on whatever.

110.00 for a pair of pants is far from dirty dirtbagging unless they last a lifetime just sayin

And I must warn that I have worn all kinds of pants.

Black adidas track pants hold up pretty well if you ask a certain SoCal climber.

For a women's option, the Carhartt leggings are amazing. I've been climbing in them (OW included) for years and they have held up wonderfully. They did take a bit to break in, but after that they are stretchy and comfortable. And, if you are a member of the American Alpine Club you get a discount through Expert Voice.

If you are able to get them used or shell out a bunch of money for them The Fjalraven Keb's are my favorite. Though went it gets cold Montane makes the best soft shells and Mountain Equipment the best shells.

I mean, really, TNF Gucci pants are the only way to climb. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TI4JEMxFWi4

Pairs well with a sprinter van.

Now you are talking my language!

I should have added that Fjalraven has a near identical repair policy as Patagonia. They will fix it and if they cant they will replace it.

And with the ACC code you get 20%off

Fjalraven is a good company and makes quality stuff. You pay for what you get though.

Alan Kearney swears by baseball pants from the thrift store.  I don't have the climbing pedigree to disagree with Alan.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
