I get threatening the kids. Can't stand those things. But the dog?  That's heartless

Seconded; while I understand your methods and applaud them, leave the dog out of this. Better to dangle the offender or their phone rather than an innocent animal. Plus you never know who’s feeling particularly Wick-ish that morning…

Threatening a human is a crime. Threatening a dog is not.

Human=responsible for asshole behavior

Dog=just a critter who happens to be within reach

Threatening a dog is fine, you softies. Completely different from harming.

I'm not explaining my world view. I'm explaining the law.

If somebody threatens my cat’s life, I’ll kill them on the spot. I would die for my cat. My cat could order me to commit war crimes and I would probably do it.

Happy National Pets Day. A day to be grateful for the animals that make our life a little better. Climbing is great and so are pets. The more we combine the activities the better off the world will be.

100%. I don't know why ppl around there love to throw stuff off the tops of cliffs ...

Sorry to make another MP thread about dogs, I would have never hurt the dog, but it was the best/worst idea for a scare tactic I could come up with while enraged... to get it back on track ...

If my kid did get hit by a rock that day, I, his father, for taking him to a dangerous area, would still take blame. #freetradiban

I really hate when there's a hiking trail along the cliffs edge. My kids don't go w/ me to those places anymore.

Personally, if it helps anyone feel better, had Tradi been there, I believe he would have called out Blake’s crew, likely in a way stronger than most.

Oh geez. I feel better already.

Yeah, if I'm throwing cinder blocks off a freeway bridge and there happens to be oncoming oncoming traffic, it is my right as an American! Screw those stupid car people...

I'm not a lawyer or an Oregon DA, but if one of those rocks killed someone after the climbers above were told they were dislodging loose rocks it likely rises to the level of negligence/gross negligence and could be considered involuntary/criminally-negligent  manslaughter. In some jursidictions you can even be convicted of second-degree murder if the offender shows "Extreme Indifference to Human Life," which this might qualify as. There would certainly be at least a fairly plausible civil case.

Thank you, well said. "Your right to swing your fists ends at the tip of my nose" as the saying goes.

I am impressed with the number of people in this thread attempting thoughtful enagement with Tradiban. I blocked them long ago so I only have the misfortune of reading their nonsense as quoted text. As with the irrisponsible climbers in question, their shitty actions are two fold, the initally shitty behavior, and then all the secondary labor of people trying to reason with them. My bullshit bandwidth has narrowed to my professional responsiblities and other select situations. As evidenced by the Jesus Mary and Joshepheen on a fucking pogo stick gymastics of his and his defenders lamentations of "he's a swell guy in person" and "free speech" yadayda and "he really makes you think." Being held to any sort of account equates to "cAnCeL cuLTurREE!"  But I digress sorry for the rant.  I admire your noble efforts!

Maybe you forgot the context of the quote I added. I was so very concerned that Tradiban was serious and callous for reals, but you soothed my concerns with your testimony.

Tim, it's as if you never leave the coffee shop!
