Suesca Colombia ropes

Hey there, I have a trip planned with a friend to Suesca in March. We plan to climb both trad and sport. Has anyone been and know what ropes we should bring? Can we get away with a single 60m or are their climbs that require a 70m? Is it common to require two ropes for rappelling?

Also, I would love any recommendations for rest day or half-day activities!

You'll be fine with a single 60m for 95% of the climbs. If you want to do everything, bring a 70. A lot of the multipitch climbs top out and walk off, so it was rare that I rappeled. But even for those rare times a single rope was fine. Feel free to message me with any other questions. Sueca is rad, you're gonna have a great time!

Awesome, that's what I was hoping to hear! 60m is just a bit easier to get into the luggage.

Is rain a concern in March?

My understanding is that March is the transition from dry season to rainy season. So early March will be hit or miss for rain. But it's a pretty bulletproof sandstone that doesn't need to dry out completely to climb safely, unlike the American southwest

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
