Shoe wear on one foot much faster than the other?

  • Does anyone else have this problem?- I wear out my left rock shoe (toe box and rand) WAY faster than my right shoe. I am right handed, left footed, right eyed, my feet are the same size, & evenly drag my feet on toe scums. I have by far the best footwork of any member of my gym that frequently gets 1000 check ins on a busy Saturday & I climb like Johnny Dawes outside. Could it be my hip orientation? Anyone else care to chime in?

surely this must be a deliberate shitpost

My right on my primary pair is nearly ready for resole (at least at the toe), the L is barely half worn.
In my case, probably a function of repeating the same route(s) too much, I suppose.

Do you have a project you are working on? The only time I had a difference between shoes was when I was working a project that sliced through my right rands super fast due to a specific foot on the climb

This past season I noticed that my left shoes were more wearing out faster than my right. But I didn't think much of it.

Your left foot's footwork is sloppy.

source: my left foot's footwork is sloppy.

Did you accidentally walk on any belt sanders recently? I found a hole in my foot after I went to the shooting range, and your issue may be similar

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
