San Bernardino Forest Road Closure

NOTE: ROADS ARE NOW OPEN WITH A FEW EXCEPTIONS.

Forest roads surrounding Big Bear Lake are closed to motor traffic until June 30. It doesn't mean you can't ski, snowshoe, bike or walk there. According to the SBNF closure (link attached) all roads in the Mountaintop Ranger District (Holcomb Valley Pinnacles area) are affected.

Good to know what is open and closed right now.

I saw a post you made stating Polique Canyon and Spurs  roads are now open. I talked to a ranger on Sunday May 7th and he said lots of volunteers were out unlocking gates as we spoke. Perhaps this means Van Dusen as well?

Possibly.

Van Dusen was still closed as of this past weekend. 

The road closure order was lifted so hopefully it will open up sometime soon.
