ban crag dogs

Are they allowed to sniff around quietly? Obviously without entering a 25’ bubble to the nearest human. |

This thread is a great example of when the OP shits their pants in the form of a post but you run with it anyway. More of an observation than a critique, by the way. |

The obvious solution is to carry bear mace and spray any off leash dog that approaches. It causes no permanent damage to the dog, but the owner may suffer a long-term emotional damages from fear of potential harm when a stranger with unknown intentions approaches uninvited with the unpredictable potential to inflict injury or damage to property.null |

I'mdoing Mypartwrote: Ooohhh, a tough guy, I love those! A quick Google search for, "Can I mace a dog" turned up this: "It is generally accepted that pepper spray cannot be used to "control" someone else's dog, or even your own dog. If the dog is approaching you and your dog in a friendly or playful manner, you cannot use pepper spray. You cannot use pepper spray just because the dog is off leash or the dog's approach is "unwelcomed." and this, "You can be sued in civil court for injuries incurred because of your actions, even if those actions are legal" (Source: https://www.lakeoswegoreview.com/news/ask-a-cop/article_be40c864-e008-5508-8034-34fbf83bdf6b.html) Carefull before you pull out that little can of mace, cowboy. |

Bruno Schullwrote: I see your source, a news article, and raise you my own; I don't care and will spray an off leash dog that approaches me and I'll spicy spray you some good-manners-beta-in-a-can too if you approach me afterwards, threatening me and I'm legally entitled to do so. You're welcome to cry about it afterwards, for a few hours actually. (Source: I made it up) |

We have officially reached the “torture dogs for doing dog shit” phase of the thread |

Do dog threads invariably resemble a couple dogs barking at each other from behind a fence? |

Dunno my partner bought his sheep collie.. errr some kinda dog today. That dog behaved better than some of the people I encountered at the cliffs. Ban crag dogs and crag humans? |

I've seen hundreds of dogs at the crags. I've seen problems twice. One time an owner left their dog alone at the base of a multi-pitch and it was barking non-stop. Another time a dog was also left at the base of a multi-pitch and was acting skittish and aggressive towards anyone that walked past it. I've seen humans cause problems dozens of times: littering, shouting profanities, smoking cigarettes, snaking lines, and the dog that was aggressive tried to bite a euro dude that walked past it. He was well clear of the dog, stopped picked up a rock and threw it back at the dog out of anger. So in my experience there's more problems from humans than dogs so we should ban humans. |

Never lock and kill a thread, regardless. I’m pro thread life. Let them grow and die as God intended |
