I used to own that guidebook but I think I sold it when I was moving down here. I’m on my way to the climbing gym. so I can’t post anything until late this afternoon. So if there’s anyone here who’s a lurker or just hasn’t had a chance to post much, go ahead and take a turn. If no-one seizes the day, I’ll post later.
Back from the gym! I still had the Devil's Tower pamplet Above is my challenge pic... Edited to say I'm 0ff-line the rest of the night. Will give hints tomorrow if no one gets it. Well, this is an obscure guidebook. Published 1988. Cost at the time 7.95 pounds. If no one can guess by noon PST, the country and region is the winner. |

Looks like the Dolomites but I have no idea of the specifics. Maybe someone else can get it (if I’m right). |

Ron James guide to the Dolomites West and East. Yep. Passed away at home age 90 on 01 March. Actually, RKM it's his newest (2005). Updated the old 1988 guidebook. We helped rescue a pair of Brits who'd rapped off an old anchor no longer in use in the Cinque Torre which they'd found in the older James guidebook. Good ol' Steger! |
