Repeating Routes?
|
|
I have been climbing for a year and a half now and with the winter I have been climbing at the local rec center(the only wall in town). At this point I have all of the possible options for routes done. Is it worth it to keep running the same routes? |

Nah. Should probably just quit climbing, right? |

Do every route perfectly. Do every route til the cruxes feel easy. Do routes choosing terrible feet only. Do easier routes skipping some holds. Campus a few routes? Do every route in one session Do multiple routes back to back without resting in between.

I went to the gym once and lifted each set of dumbbells for exactly one rep. Since I had successfully completed the gym, I have never gone back. |

At my age that is never a problem. 20 minutes after I finish a route I can't remember it. Senility Ascents Rule. |

Of course you should repeat them .... if you enjoyed climbing them .. climb them over and over .... and make the routes and old friend. |

Don't take and lower. Climb back down. |

Repeating routes allows you to refine your technique and try different beta. |

I repeat the shit out of stuff because climbing is fun. |
