Why are women allowed to climb without a shirt in a gym but men cannot?

I think I'd not, like, never ever not, have to worry about crowds if I ever went that route. Might even traumatize some of the squeamish amongst us.  But, hey, you do you! I'll belay anything willing to rope the rope up for me, no matter what he/she/it/other's scenic value may or may not be!

For real, I knew a woman who gave swim lessons to women. Indoor pool, female only classes. No men anywhere. Burkhas over swim suits required nonetheless, iirc. I can't even imagine, but those ladies must've been fully proofed against drowning, if they managed to swim like that. Don't remember just which hard core fundamentalist state it was, but not Iraq, Iran, or Afghanistan. Pretty sure it was one of the oil rich ones.

When I’m at the gym, I have an urge to take off my shirt (memes if you want). The reason for that is because it’s hot, I’m sticky, and I can send harder (no joke) without it, so I benefit lots from it. All the gyms around have a shirts on policy that prevents men from going shirtless. I’m not taking it off to show off my 6 pack or thick chest, but it just feels natural and it helps myself cool off especially in a warm gym.

On the other hand, I would say over 50% to over 60% of frequent women rock climbers take off their shirt at an indoor gym and end up in a two piece with some tight leggings. No one bats an eye, and it is actually seen as a common occurrence and very normal.

Why is it fine for women to take off their shirts while men are not allowed to?????

You can also wear a two piece.

I think gyms that let men and trans men go shirtless should be forced to add a R rating to their logo. Route names referring to shirtless men should be redacted immediately.
