Famous climbers you have met but have not had sex with

Greatest thing about this thread is how well it illustrates that "famous" climbers are really, barely, famous, at least in the USA.

I'd venture that Alex Honnold is the ONLY rock climber there's any chance a random American could name if asked, "Name one famous rock climber for $100!"

Growing up, Royal Robbins was just the proprietor of the local mountain shop. He was cool, but nobody in the community really gave a shit about what he'd done prior to that.

No doubt about that. But, also, I think in the 1970s Royal's influence hadn't yet fully been recognized. Climbing was seen as just something some dirty freaks liked to do in Yosemite in between diving for bales of plane crash weed.

Not cheating but would possibly yield a high chance for sex, lessening the amount of pros one has not had sex with.

Honestly I hope I never actually meet any of the "famous" climbers that I respect, call it a "don't meet your heroes" complex. I'd rather be blissfully ignorant and imagine all these people are kind/warm under every circumstance while easily adapting to the trappings of being a public figure.   

I almost hit James Lucas with my car in Rifle, he was nice.

Outside of the usual suspects one would run into  in Rifle in the mid 90s, I had a drive-by spotting by Fred and Francois Nicole in Hueco. I had no idea I even had spotters until topping out…and there were Fred and Francois grinning up at me.
I also somehow ended up in the finals of a small lead comp in Thornton CO with Tommy Caldwell. He was sixteen years-old or something at the time, and wasn’t quite yet famous. He won, and I was second to last. Tommy got a trophy full of Jolly Ranchers and $70.00, and I got a quickdraw and a chalk bag. Still have the quickdraw.
And, then there was the time my friend got into an argument with Hans Florine and Bobbi Bensman at the Phoenix Bouldering Contest. He and I ran into them at The Gallery one week later…that was awkward…especially as I’d run into Bobbi on and off for years thereafter.

Yep, got banned for a typo.  They showed me my "record" as a justification for the banning... two posts pulled in like 18 years.  Sensitive fucks ain't they?  I'm a real menace to society.

I'll consider that. Though it wasn't like I was trying to deprive him of precious bodily fluids. 

I met both Tommy Caldwell and Alex Honnold on the book tour for The Push. I did not sleep with either one of them. I would though. I'm not gay, it would just be a great story. If either of you are reading this and interested, send me a PM.

I guess when I was climbing at Brooklyn Boulders a lot I climbed adjacent to Ashima Shirai. She was underage at the time, so don't even go there, you pervs.

Ansel Elgort was at Brooklyn Boulders a lot too. I dunno if he counts as a "famous climber" since he's famous for stuff other than climbing, but dude pulls V8s and is more famous than anyone else listed.

Alex Megos was at my gym a few weeks ago.
