I’m with you Chad. I don’t think they would be legally required to do anything for the rope, but I do think they should feel morally obligated. As far as the rest of the legal argument goes, I think it’s wise to be careful. My interpretation of a herding dog nipping a child’s heel might be different than a jury’s. If my dog is at home I will never have to fight with the owner of a pack llama about who is responsible for the vet bills.

Warning someone is different than mentioning or showing how many weapons you have(brandishing) FYI Just as America has too many guns IMO we also have too many lowlife psychos breeding pitbulls and other assorted aggressive breeds, its no Swiss preschool playground thats for sure. I feel sorry for all the animal shelter folks that are putting these dogs down by the hundreds daily while trying to figure out which ones can be adopted safely in this country.

Maybe this is why another popster upthread said that team dog is winning if only because they seem less hysterical and unhinged than team anti-dog? Pro-dog/anti-dog is rookie level, homie. I’m pro-dog thread. Wall o text kooks like yourself, specious legal arguments, knife banter, dog pics, laughing my ass off, etc., etc., I rest my case.

This thread is a dumpster fire....and I'm totally here for it.
You have a 7.8: 100,000 or 1: 12,820 chance of being murdered in the US by a human in 2020 Dogs killing you in 2020..... 7.8 : 538,324.8 or 1 : 69,016
Homo Sapiens are the more dangerous breed. Let's just throw more guns and knives at these issues...hell, I vote to arm the dogs with AR's w/ bayonets to level the playing field.

I’m always amazed at what a world we have, that can produce a guy like Russ and then also make a guy like David or poor Bruno. RE: Chad and brandishing - I think, per usual, the Devil is in the details. If I request they leash their dogs per the law, and then inform them when they refuse that I have pepper spray and a legally carried knife to defend my kids in the event of aggression or attack, I don’t think that fits what you’re describing. Nawmean?
If I tell them they better leash their dogs or I’ll use my knife on the dog, THAT lines up with what you’re describing. Two totally different scenarios. October 10, 2022Z107.7 News

This leads to the obvious next thread: “petition to ban most humans from crags”

I feel so out of place mentioning on this thread that when I'm out--typically at Red Rock Canyon--I make it a point to thank people on the trail who have their dogs on a leash. Go ahead and mock me who will; five more pages to fill!

I’m trying real hard to get this thread to 30 pages for Shaun from page 19, but I think it’s running out of steam too fast. Edit cuz I’m against the post limit. Go with Chad’s idea. Post dog pics!

The answer to the unruly crag dog. My nearly 50 lb., overly protective crag cat I named “Slayer”Most dogs run away pissing, and shitting themselves when they see him.

Adam Burch wrote: Bruno, just to start this off - I've been advised from inside-sources that you are trolling a little but are also indeed ,quite clueless. I find you amusing at best. What do you think, Bruno? Do I strike you as someone who wouldn't understand nuance? In this case, if loose dogs were barking and aggressive in my kids faces/space, I'd pick them up and move them (the dogs) if the owner was unwilling or unable to do so. If they bit my child or wife they would be killed. Up until those points, they have as much right per the law to be running around off-leash, but they are no longer "in control" if they do either one of the aforementioned behaviors. I think we all agree on that point. All of the above, but I can't act in a severe manner just because I'm bothered. I'd act in such a way if my kids/wife (or other people in my party, for that matter) were in danger. Being annoyed by clowns is part of life. For example - here we are. Homeboy you're teetering off the rails already at this point. You're all over the map, and clearly not reading what I'm actually writing. No clue where to begin other that to facepalm, and thus, I did just that. Please scroll to the top and read my opening sentence. Take a break, Bruno. Yikes. Meh, I just think the Adam wants to get stabby with his knives. Not really though. Then again when I see Adam's knives I'm like:

I retract my statement about dog pics, I’m liking them now, but still think in most circumstances leave the dog at home. Anyways here’s Pickles. Edit: Also 43 new dog rant posts after a long weekend started of Tuesday right.
