unfortunately that one posted above doesn't appear to be in stock, and Al's mismarked their inventory, so the joker wasn't really available there either... but Mtn Outlet does have the Karma (which isn't showing up at Al's anymore), website showed 45 in stock, for $100 (plus tax?/shipping?) which isn't bad for a reasonably durable 60m, should anyone need a beater 60 right now.

Address lands on a residential culdesac (when court is abbreviated to ct), shared with this business's address: https://ronniesale.shop/contactus.html

Probably a scam. Sorry, no deal to add.

I'm fascinated by the hidden logistics and economics of this stuff.

How much are they going to make before it's shut down? What was the cost to build and run the website? Why decide on Phoenix and that particular address?

All you need is one customer at 97 trillion dollars and you can close down...

If they had trouble laundering the money, it would really help fight inflation.

Since it's already derailed and ten STFU's clearly didn't work

I actually know someone from highschool that made one of these businesses. He was making near six figures a year, paying taxes, and hired three dudes in India for $2/hr. The way he did it was 100% legit. Idk about that website. His scams were moreso from people believing voodoo nonsense and paying extra for simple stuff like tigers balm or a quartz crystal.

Oliunid has totems for a really really good price. Even better if you sign up and spend over 500 euros.

OK Guys, let's not crap up the thread with commenting on an obvious scam site.

This should really be a blog post on alpinismproject.com but who got time for that.

This information is current as of now, it may not be soon.

European deals galore (this list is not comprehensive). I'm about "done" with my gear haul so feels time to share.

tl;dr: Keep orders as close to 800$ (but not over) as possible to save on shipping and not be assessed customs charges.

How this works.

1. The Euro / USD ratio is really beneficial right now to those of us based in the USA in the gear-whore-i-need-world-class-shit category.

2. The USA is controlled by a concept called MAP which is illegal in the EU which controls almost everything you buy here in the USA.

3. Some vendors break distribution agreements, and you benefit. In short, STFU about this if you want this avenue to still be open. Yes, I understand the irony.

As always: ymmv, you-do-you, good luck, and yes a small portion of you will be triggered by this.

PS: If you really found this valuable, don't share it out, but help me out by following me on insta. It seems to be the best way to "grow my brand", and I try to post relevant stuff to the mountain community.

Edit: I understand lots of really cool people work for the brands that I am sharing "secrets" about read/post here. I love your stuff, biggest fan, sorry... Hope I work with some of you in the future closely. Please don't kick me off your various programs, I use them a lot.

Black Diamond Equipment Expedition 3 Ski Poles at Sierra for $59.99, pretty good price I think. Retail is somewhere around $130-140. These are great poles for skiing/scrambling/mountaineering. They have both the max length of 140 and 125 sizes, links below. Activejunky has 4% back and if you end up reaching 89.99 they also have a coupon code for free shipping.

140 max length: https://www.sierra.com/black-diamond-equipment-expedition-3-ski-poles-pair~p~85hrf/?filterString=ski-and-snowboard-accessories~d~13981%2F

125 max length: https://www.sierra.com/black-diamond-equipment-expedition-3-ski-poles-pair~p~85hrh/?filterString=ski-and-snowboard-accessories~d~13981%2F

Everything Edelrid is 20% off arbsession.com with code climbEDELRID

They tend to have really good rope prices for anyone wanting a static line.

So I know this may have been mentioned already, but exchange rates are really working in our favor right now.

I just bought 6 Totems for $72 each (with shipping) from https://www.needlesports.com/Catalogue/Climbing-Running/Rock-Trad-Climbing/Cams/Totem-Cam-TOT-TOTEM

Likely other deals exist at online British climbing shops

The prices have always been like this for years now. The exchange rate has very little to do with it. What is helping you is the lack of US import fees, and such, price hiking the costs of Euro manufactured items. I cant explain why things like z4's are cheap, but I've been abusing this life hack for years for my tree climbing equipment.

A recent development in the last few years is that you need to make sure they are not giving you american prices for viewing the website with an american IP address. Honeybros is a good example of a company doing this.

Totems are also cheaper on oliunid, even after shipping, if you do it right.

Edit; MAP is why it is cheaper in Europe.

Great deal on a set of DMM Halfnuts. Recently got a set and really like how they place. They're half the width of Wallnuts but still rated at 4KN on the smallest size (#1).
